In an "Uh Oh, I'm running a 50 K in 3 weeks" moment, I picked up the training a bit this last week, finishing with over 50 miles. My legs feel pretty good, too, although the speed work I did HURT. And wasn't all that speedy.
Nonetheless, I got in a 1.5 hour trail run on Thursday and 3:15 on Saturday. Saturday was a pretty big bonk...but that might have had something to do with only 20 oz of water and a single Gel.
I want to keep plugging along this week as well and am not sure I'll slow down much and taper for the 50K in 2 weeks. After all...it's not really tapering if one hasn't run much in the first place!

I am not tapering either so we're off to a fair start at least!
