I BEAT GLAVEN!

Nice arm pantyhose, too.

PS - with your last post, add the photo to your shopping cart first then right-click to copy.

Hope that works.

Oh really, Joy? You beat him? Don't you think you should at least pick on someone capable of defending himself a bit?
Poor guy.

Hahahahahaha! ZOMG, Nic - that is hilarious!

But really, is it any of YOUR business the role-playing games j'RuN and I are into? Sure, she beats me ... but it's worth it for the really intensely erotic make-up sex afterwards.

And by "make-up sex" I mean I'm totally making up the sex part.

Or are I?

Can I borrow your arm pantyhose? You'll probably be going too fast to need them this weekend.

Plus it'll look better with GP's leather & chain ensemble.

I forgot to say - GOOD LUCK on Sunday!!!!

I just threw up a little. Not sure if it was the photo or the "Glaven image."

At least you're not one of those who hear 41 degrees and say, "but the runners like that." I hate them. Them and their... Hey, get off my lawn, ya whippersnappers. Oops, gotta get back to my bran muffins.

I might be out on the Nokomis bridge at 12 miles, anything you want? Cold beer?

If you happen to see Joe Ziegenfuss at the start, stick with him. He's pacing a friend to sub-3 and will probably run perfect splits.

Thanks, Adam! Good to know!

SteveQ said...

I always try to hang with Joe Z. at races. He should do more pacing...

Have a good race Sunday. Stay confident and relaxed. Cheers!

Hope it doesn't disappoint you to learn that it was, indeed, NOT your blog that had me hovering over the publish button.

I ALWAYS let you have it with both barrels!

Let that roiling wingnuttery inside you propel you to the sub-three marry you covet! Then go ahead and delete me from your blogroll. Haven't you heard? I'm already the most Unimportant Site on Teh Intertubes!

It don't get no more ignominious than THAT!

Hahahahahaha!

Good luck on Sunday!

Galvin, in a strange way it's relieving to me to know that you aren't holding back at all. Being in a state that elected Stuart smalley will be sure to wind this wingnut up.
Thanks for the good vibes.

I suggest wearing a little more than gloves and sleeves.

Highly suggest wearing running shorts.

An Invocation:

O, Magic Girl-Gloves! Perform thy miracles this day in Teh Land Of Stuart Smalley and propel Thy Servant, Young Doctor Nic, to the sub-three-hour time he so richly deserveth and hath worked so hard to attain! Tighten thou him up at both ends of his alimentary tract so that he experienceth not a repeat of Teh Fox Cities Eruptive Fiasco.

This we ask in the Name of Running Fashion Crimes!

Ah! Men!

(Or Ah! Women? Could go either way with those gloves.)

You were on about 2:55 pace when I saw you at 21 miles, so let me be the first to say: CONGRATS ON SUB-3!

nwgdc said...

Sorry Steve. Faded bad. 3:03:05

Sorry to hear that Nic. But still a great time so soon after your last one.

Glaven Q. Heisenberg said...

Sorry, Nic! SteveQ was so sure you had it in the bag at mile 21 that he left a comment on my blog that you'd most likely done done it.

Another heartbreaker ... but another great time posted, too.

Race report today?

SteveQ said...

Nic, you actually made the local news report. I could see you running past the cathedral and I thought, "Ooh. He doesn't look too good." Maybe the races were just a little too close together.

You'll "git'r done" next time.
