I have been told that after the birth if your first child, you will never again look at your wife the same way again. You now know the full extent of just how amazing and incredibly strong she is.
Congratulations to the new family.
Every year before mother's day I show birthing videos in my biology class. Then as they sit stunned. I say, "Now do you think you can go appropriately celebrate the woman that did that for you?"
Uh, I meant "boy", not "bought". I have this little utility on my Macintosh that automatically expands abbreviations, which I like because I'm such an egregious typist, and one of the abbreviations is "bot" which expands to "bought"; and so the "y" on the standard qwerty keyboard is right next to the "t" and so I hit the "t" at the end of "bo" instead of the "y" and hence I called Edwin a "bought" instead of a "boy".
One should be careful when one has such utilities on one' Macintosh.
This can be one of those Life Lessons you teach little Edwin when he gets old enough to type.
Plus that comment *did* come at like 8 p.m., so I suspect beer played a part. You're lucky it was as coherent as it was.
Remember to cite me as the source of this wisdom when you pass it on to Young Master Edwin.
And congratulations again to you and Ellie and the whole family!
Beautiful picture (he takes after Ellie I think)! And I checked; I was 9 lb. 4 1/2 and two weeks late, so Edwin should be a slightly smaller pain than I was at that age.

Congratulation Nic to you and Ellie. I hope mother and child are both doing well. That's a good solid weight.
Congratulations to you both! You'll need a wide angle lens for that one!
CONGRATULATIONS! Edwin is a fabulous name too. I can't believe poor Ellie had to gestate your son for an extra week. Kudos to an amazing woman.
I wish you all the best!
Congratulations to the both of you!
Congrats!
8 lb. 11? I was only 8lb 10.5 and I never heard the end of it. That's a big boy.
Get some rest - all three of you.
Congrats Dad!

RBR- I could not possibly say it better. I've never been more inspired or amazed or simply proud to be able to say she's my wife.
