Nada. Nada. Nada. Nada. Nada.

(Daily Mileage since last Thursday)

Much like Helen's recent training, life has been a bit busy. If you can consider Karaoke at a Graduation Party and Morel Hunting (I've collected about 4 lbs in the last 3 days) as cross training, then I'm good!

Perhaps tomorrow will produce a run, but it'll have to be in the morning, as I'm headed to Madison for classes all day Thursday.
Luckily, SteveQ's recommendations don't mention any goal for weekly mileage, so I'm using that as my excuse if I sleep in tomorrow.

Fawn spotted while Morelling --Parsenn was completely oblivious

Morel and Pepperoni Pizza

(There is photographic evidence of a truly epic Karaoke performance. It may or may not make an appearance.)

...and in other news from Sheboygan County...

Update: This morning, 5 miles, 35 minutes, felt like crap.

Post the f*cking karaoke performance!

If it's anything like your Guitar Hero performance, it should be a truly toxic meltdown.

Let's see if Teh Marcy still loves you then.

(She won't. She's fickle. I know.)

Photo! Photo! Photo!

I had to look up what a morel was. I'm an idiot.

You take my recommendations SERIOUSLY? There's nothing you can do in the last two weeks before a marathon that will make you go faster; there's much that can make you go slower. Doing nothing's fine, though each day taken off sets you back three - if you were running well six weeks ago, not a problem.

I'm with Xenia. I had to google it :)

I thought "Morel Hunting" was a much more aggressive sport than it actually is. Plucking mushrooms hardly sounds like cross-training.

Karaoke, on the other hand...

Five miles?

Pfffttt! I can run that far!

Man, Ellie musta tagged you bag sumpin fierce for you to be reduced to p*ssy-@$$ 5-mile runs.

You're still BotW.

Are you and Teh Marcy doin it or something?

Whoooaaa now G! I don't know you keep messin and Dr Nic will stay up til I leave. That will make it one whole month of nothing but Dr Nic! HAHA

Yeah I'm with Xenia, totally had no idea what a morel was. Yum?!? *insert cringe face*

Carol surprises me. She looks like a fork kinda chick if you ask me.

I think everyone wants the karaoke evidence. That's the morel of this story.

What? No good?

A butter knife murder - classy.

I have no idea what a morel is.

Morels are delicious (and grow wild in the local parks under dying elm trees) and one of the few mushrooms that's so easy to identify you don't have to worry about dying if you eat one. They're almost worth stabbing someone with a butterknife for!

Hey, while you were tripping on morels and listening to Grateful Dead music, I ran 5.43 miles this morning (told you I could!) in mmmphffph minutes, so I guess I really am better than you.

Which makes it all the more vexing that Teh Marcy STILL has you up as BotW.

I guess that's just your ad $$ at work, cheater.

Responding to your comment on my last post.......

There is a way to do the fun run at Kettle without paying. And it's legal. And it's slow..... At least slow enough not to hurt old Grandma.

SteveQ said...

Yeah, Nic, you could be my pacer! 20-25 minutes per mile for 13-16 hours wouldn't hurt Grandma's a bit.
