"A Special Group of Nuts"

  • "It's an experience many people won't have, and most don't want." That's one of the best lines I've ever heard, especially when it comes to running a marathon indoors. Click on the above link to read about my upcoming run (oh yeah, and I was interviewed for the article too).
  • Glaven is the man. The dedication he brings to not only his own posts, but to the comment sections of everyone else's posts is astounding. The length of his posts and comments aren't the most impressive part, though. It's actually the time it takes for him to finish said posts and comments. You see, Glaven leaves something to be desired when it comes to typing. He isn't very skilled around the "qwerty row." How do I know this? Because, in response to my last post, GQH mentions that it's 7:40 pm and he should go to bed. He then proceeds to continue his comment an additional 2 paragraphs.
  • There were 99 words in those final 2 paragraphs (and 1 emoticon). His post was published at 7:46 pm.
  • 99 words (and 1 emoticon) in 6 minutes? That's a typing pace of only 16.5 words per minute!
  • (and only .167 emoticons per minute. Marcy is beyond consolable.)
  • So when you get a chance, head on over to Glaven's site and let him know you really appreciate him. Encourage him to continue plugging away.
  • One find-and-peck at a time.

Ouch.

Did it occur to you that my real (and until now secret) shame is ... I can't tell time?

What kind of musculoskeletal manipulation do you offer to fix that, Dr. Nic?

:-(

(If I had been able to make that colon look like it was shedding a tear, I would have. Where the hell is the tear-key on this f*cking qwerty keyboard!?!1?)

When I began this comment, I was clean-shaven. Now I need to shave again.

(My less than stellar typing skilz are the only reason Melanie beat me as first commenter last time. When I saw that, I just kinda gave up and spent the rest of the day in my slippers and an old housecoat with used tissues stuffed up the sleeves.)

I just remembered. At least 20 of the words (plus the weird, nose-less Canadian emoticon) in my comment on your previous post were cut-and-pasted from Melanie's comment.

So I'm even slower than you give me credit for being.

Who's laughing now?

I was going to defend Glaven but he already outed himself as having crappy typing skilz. I figured maybe he had to go to the bathroom in the middle of typing out your comment. Yeah guess not.

Step up with the emoticons G!!! That is PATHETIC! :P

Great point on the plagiary, Glaven. I don't even want to know what that drops your WPM to. Yikes!

Marcy--great to have you back at the top of the comment section!

Marcy beats everyone to the commentary because her comments are just a strong of LOLs, IDKs, BTWs, and ROFLMAOs :)

wow, i had no idea that beating Glaven to a comment left him feeling so low.

An indoor marathon... I give you credit, not sure I could do that. At first I thought it would be on a treadmill, but going around in a circle?? I think that would make me even more crazy! Good luck, can't wait to hear about it!

Good luck not getting dizzy or puking in your running shoes.

That's mean :-(. Poor Glaven.

You're crazy... 90+ trips around a track!?!?!? Woot!

You just called down the thunder.

And by "thunder", I mean Glaven slowly WPMing a response to your attack.
